CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS.
The Ashburton Golf Club has come to' a decision not to play a qualifying round in its men’s senior (or club) championship this year, neither will there be a. qualifying round for the juniors. Entries will close for both the club and junior championships on Thursday, August 9. All the members are eligible for the men’s club championship, and? only those members I whose handicap's are 20 or more on Saturday next are eligible for the men’s junior championship. Members are required to enter their names on the entrance sheets on the club’s notice board before' August 9. On Saturday the July medal match will be decided.
