RUGBY FOOTBALL.
TO-DAY’S RESULTS. At the S’how Grounds to-day, in the senior Rugby competition Celtic is plaving Springburn-Mayfield, and Methven is playing Old Boys. Ashburton meets Hinds, at Hinds. Owing to the influenza epidemic the strength of some of' the teams was considerably affected. There were several defaults. Following are the results of the earlier fixtures this afternoon JUNIORS. Celtic defaulted to Allenton. Old Boys defaulted to Methven. THIRD GRADE. Allenton 25 v. Ashburton 6. Mr J. C. McLaucblan was referee. Tinwald 19 v. High School nil. The game proceeded for only half an hour, High School having only ten men. Mr Mcikleham was referee. Methven defaulted to Technical. FOURTH GRADE.
