RUMOURED OPENING DATE

A “Lyttelton Times” representative was told to-day in a reliable quarter that the date of the official opening of the tunnel will be July 28. The announcement that the opening is close at hand is particularly welcome on the coast, as passengers are beginning to Aveary of the discomforts and peiils of the present trip. .
