THE RUSSIAN “PRINCESS.”
ARRIVAL IN DUNEDIN.
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, March 15
Tlie “ Grand Duchess Princess Ivanovitch.” or (to use her more numerous English names) Harriet Rushford Henrietta Southall Fuller, made an unostentatious arrive! in Dunedin by express from the north last evening, and suffered the indignity of having to make a prolonged search for hotel accommodation. Five or six houses which she tried were found to have no available' accommodation, but at length rooms were secured by her in a leading city hotel,, where she is said to have Created a favourable impression. One lady with whom she came in contaot described her as a “ charming, wellspoken lady.” Dunedin society will not have the pleasure of entertaining the Duchess, for this morning she made a quiet departure by the south express on her way to Queenstown.
