NEW SOUTH WALES BEATS VICTORIA. SYDNEY, January 30. Victoria in their second innings made 179 Keating 34, Willis 23, Hartkopf 18). Scott took three wickets for 56, and Mailey five for 73. New South Wales won by an innings and 28 runs.
The weather was fine and the wicket good. The batsmen played cautiously, but the bowling of Mailey and Scott was irresistible, and the match ended 75 minutes after the resumption of play. (Victoria in their first innings made 353. New South Wales made 560.)
