SPORTS IN DOMAIN.
CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. Everything is in readiness for the Canterbury championship■ athletic meeting to be held on the Domain Oval to-morrow afternoon, commencing at 2 o’clock. The grounds have been specially prepared and surveyed, which is essential in a championship meeting, and everything has been •done to' assure complete success. Some -excellent performers, will contest the various events, particularly the championship contests in which Australasian and New Zealand champions will •compete. Special interest attaches to the sprint races, in which the crack ■Tracey short distance runner has entered, Taylor, the champion halfmiler, is out to break his own record of lmin 58 l-ssec. In all, about 60 Athletes will be in the field. In addi-
tion to flat races, there will be polevaulting, hurdle events, and cycling races. The exhibition of javehii throwing which has been arranged for should be of much interest. Admission to the grounds has been fixed at Is, with Is extra to the stand. Children between the ages of 12 and 15 are to be charged 6d. The band will be m attendance.
