(Per Press Association, ' Copyright.) (Received This Day 12.35 p.m.) NijlW YORK, December 13. M. Clemenceau sailed in the liner Paris. He hoarded the vessel last night, wearied by his travels, convinced that he is going home to die, his work being finished. The “Tiger” believes the object of his mission to America lias been accomplished. He told the\ Committee for Devastated J Prance at a farewell that he was certain he had persuaded the people of the United State's that they must intervene abroad if another war is to be averted. The “New York Tribune” says M. Clemenceau came asking for nothing material. He takes nothing tangible home with him, but he has been nobly successful in the venture which contributed to America’s will to understand and' help, o The “Times” comments that America wishes this rough Jbut kindly old warrior a winter solstfce, whielr will mark the turning of the sun towards the rehabilitation of the devastated earth. .
