TINWALD STOCK SALE. PRINCIPAL SALES YESTERDAY. Exceptionally - good prices were re--oeiveci for fat iambs at tb© Tinwald yards sal© yesterday, the average being 10d) per lb. Tlie yarding of fats comprised 772 lambs, 304 ewes, and 204 •wethers. Keen interest was taken in the sale on account of the presence of freezing buyers. LONDON WHEAT REPORT. LONDON, Dec.. 11. Wheat cargoes are firm and' occasionally'6d per bushel dearer, owing to an American advance. Parcels have firmed 6d to 9d per' quarter. Australian December shipments are offered at 52s per quarter, with 52s 6d bid. LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS. AUCKLAND CITY’S AUSTRALIAN ' FLOTATION. AUCKLAND, Dec. 12'. The City Council has issued in Australia £150,000 debentures at 5J per cent., the price of issue being par (in Auckland). This is seven shillinp per ceiit. cheaper than the connciFs last loan in London. The present issue has been placed through the Bank of New ’Zealand. / SUGAR.. THE QUEENSLAND CROP. MELBOURNE, Dec. 12. The sugar estimate of 300,000 tons from Queensland has fallen to 260,000 tons. It is expected to carry oyer 10,000 tons when the agreement expires. The ■June surplus is attributable to the fact that more sugar was produced per ton of cane this year than was the case last year.
