The Waikato Trotting Club held its annual meeting on Saturday in fine weather. There was a large attendance, the totalisator investments amounted to £20,491, as against 24,568 for last year, a- decrease of £5407. Time, 2min. 56 1-5 see. NEWMARKET BLOODSTOCK SALES. LONDON, Dec. 9. Bloodstock at the Newmarket sales realised 236,000 guineas. Tremola, a chestnut five-year-old horse by TreBeauty, making 2800 guineas. Leighton, a four-year-old bay colt by Roi Herode—Queen of Earth, was purchased for 3100 guineas, and goes to New Zealand.
