According to the Financial Statement, for the year ending March 31 the revenue received m connection with the censorship of cinematograph | films amounted tq. £1544, which is considerably m excess of the expenditure. During the year under review films to the number of 3146, containing 4,920,000 feet, were examined by the Censor. Of these, 38 were rejected, while excisions were made m 240. "A" certificates— i.e., recommending the picture as being more suitable for adults than for children — were issued m 105 cases.
