WELLINGTON RACING CLUB.
WELLINGTON, October 29. The Wellington Racing Club's spring meeting was concluded to-day m beautiful weather. The track was m good order, and there was a record attendance for a Saturday. The totalisator investments were £70,000, compared with £77,875 on the corresponding day of last year, the total for the meeting being £126,260 10s, compared with £153,267 last year. Concluding results : — Champion Plate, of 1000 sovb ; one mile and a-quaxter — Amythasl, Rouen 2, Grotesque 3. Sasanof, Vagabond, [ and , Radiant Light also started. | Amythas fought out a good finish with Rouen, -whom he beat by a neck., Grotesque being three lengths away. Ruahine Handicap, of 350 soys; six furlongs— Stylish Lady 1, Mireusonta 2, Capping Day 3. Won by a neck. Time, Imin. 13sec. Na*inai Handicap, of 450 soys ; six furlongs — Astinome 1, Missgold 2, Mustard Pot 3. Won by a neck. Time, Imin. 12sec.
