Two victims died and Girard has since* died m prison/ One accomplice/ of Girard' s was Mrs Doneteau, whom Girard secured to induce one 1 , Godel, to insure his life for £23,000. After drinking an aperient he recovered. One fatal case was ascribed to mushroom poisoning.
