WELLINGTON, October 28. ,j The loyalists and the representatives j of official Labour on the House ofi Representatives got to grips on sever-; 1 al occasions to-day during the discus-; sion on the Education Bill introduced? by the Hon. C. J. P&rr. Feeling ran:; strong to-night -when Mr Wright was j speaking about disloyalty. He said it was common knowledge m Wellington 1 that some of the professors m Victoria; College would have difficulty m taking! the oath of allegiance. j His remarks roused the ire of Mr i Peter Fraser, member for Wellington | Central', who said the statement was! untrue. He added that it was a scan-, dalous and a cowardly statement. ; *• Mr Wright moved that the words ; be taken down. I Mr Speaker then interposed and; demanded that the words be "with- , drawn. Mr Fraser agreed to withdraw the ; words, but he added immediately that the statement was not a one. . Mn Wright twitted the member for Wellington Central -with hasrang, during the last election, refused to answer questions as to his loyalty. Mr Holland: Da you say he is disloyal? i' Mr Wright: I say he evaded answering questions during the election*. Mr Lysnar declared that the member for Wellington Central had shown . by his anger during the debate that ■he was the least loyal member m the *iSouse. He he had made a pitiable* spectacle, and he hoped the people of Wellington were proud of
