A woman who complained at Tottenham of having been assaulted by her son of 19, said she had been trying to keep out of her house a widow who would not leave the boy alone. Till then, she added, she had not succeeded m keeking the widow out, but the boy. resented her efforts, and that was why he had assaulted her. The widow was persistent m her attentions and got into the house by climbing up to the window of the boy's room at night. "What does the boy's father say?" asked the magistrate, and the mother said he declined to interfere. A police officer was instructed to see the youth.
