LOCAL SALES TO BE RESUMED.

WELLINGTON, July 26. The matters which formed the subject of a deputation of representatives of the wool-brokers, banks and shipping companies to the Acting-Minister of Finance has resulted m the resump~ ition of wool sales m New Zealand, beginning with Dunedin on August 4. The Invercargill sale has been fixed for August 6. The Timaru date is to be fixed later. It is understood the wool buyers have accepted the terms of the offer made by the banks at the deputation' referred to, and that they will now resume buying on those terms.
