THE HAMPSTEAD SCHOOL.

MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE

The „ monthly meeting of the Hampstead Sohool Committee 1 was held on Saturday evening. Present: Messrs R.H. Loy (chairman), W. Thompson, E. H. Childs, W. Garrard, D. H. Keir, W. Kerr, and A. W. Hopkins. The chairman reported that the Sohool Committees' Association had not met for some time. _ It was resolved to communicate with the other schools,, to try to revive interest. Several members enoke of the necessity for a live association..

A letter was read from the Education Board advising the appointment of Miss Grey as assistant mistress, duties to commence on July 1. The headmaster. Mr H. C. N. Watson, reported a roll number 0f, 388 and an average attendance of 339- The children's concert held at the school had realised £3 16s 6d. and it was proposed to liold a drill and gamea afternoon to assist .tHe children's stall at the fair to be held m September. •The report was adopted. Accounts amounting to £2 is were passed for payment. Messrs Thompson and Keir were appointed the Visiting Committee for the month. -

The Memorial Social Committee was granted the use of the school for an entertainment on June 21.
