LONDON, April 22. The miners' conference passed a resolution of confidence m Mr Hodges and also emphatically protested against the railway men's and transporters' official explanation attributing their .defection to "a refusal of the miners to meet the owners. The real cause of the unjustifiable withdrawal could only be looked for m the character and structure of the Triple Alliance itself. Glasgow dockers refuse to handle coal from Home and foreign ports and five vessels with coal for thje Scottish railways are held up.
