A BOGUS AMBASSADR.

Claiming to be the European representative of the Sultan of Morocco, Frederic yon Leuchtenberg was sentenced by the magistrates at Colchester to two months' hard labour for landing m the United Kingdom without the permission of the immigration officer. An order for his deportation was also made. Leuchtenberg, who said he was a native of Luxemburg and owned property m Sweden/ protested that he ought to be 'released on diplomatic grounds. He declared he had been' presented to the King and had known his Majesty when he was a boy. The Sultan of Morocco was to have sent him money, but' he supposed it had been sent to his wife at Lake Constance. The police said /that prisoner had falsely stated that he was a Swede and that he landed from a cattle boat at Glasgow. If he Had not been arrested by mistake on a charge of theft he might have escaped discovery.
