CHURCHILL AS AN ARTIST.
The art world of Paris has been excited by the appearance of a young unknown artist whose five pictures, shown, at an exhibition m the city, have won warni approval from the critics. The painting name of the artist is Charles Morin. and everyone was asking "Who he is ?" It now appears that this young painter of crreat promise is Mr Winston Churchill, the British War Minister, who during the war, when he was out of office, began to amuse himself, at the age of 40, with landscape ' painting. Mr Churchill has m turn been r soldier, a war correspondent, a foTCP r^l politician on both sides, a Minister of the Crown ; and he now suddenly wins wide admiration as an artist. What further surprise has he m store ?
Official figures show that of 277.680 acres of devastated land m Belgium 128,492 have already been reclaimed. An airship is being built with sleeping and dining accommodation for 50 people, the ccoikinec to be done by electricity^
