SPECIAL DOUBLE PROGRAMME
An extraordinarily attractive programme has boen arranged for screening on Thursday evening, when the. entertainment will comprise two of the finest feature pictures -which liav^ been shown m Ashburton for a long time. "The Man From Snowy River." another of the magnificent Beaumont Smith productions, dealing with Australian life. The typical scenes of the great Australian wayback, and typical' incidents of its outdoor life, are all introduced into a pictiire of rare dramatic intensity. It has its full share of thrills, and . is altogether a picture forming a, delightful entertainment m itself. The other picture is a Maurice Tourneur production, and consequently, it also bears the hallmark of photo-play excellence. It is "Mv Lady's Garter," and adapted from the internationally f#mous novel of the same name. It is characterised by a unique story, and being perfectly acted and magnificently produced, it has a just. claim to liberal patronage. Intending patrons are advised to take advantage of the opportunity of avoiding disappointment by booking seats at the Bristol.
