The wool sales lastfed all yesterday till 7.30 p.m. Seventeen thousand bales were offered, and there was a good inquiry for sorts suitable for the American trade. Medium were easier, but low grades realised rather better prices than the previous sale. Lambs' wool was sought by local and .French buyers. The range of prices was : — Merino— l3d to 14fd. Southdown— loid to 12d. Halfbred — Super, 12d to 14d ; medium, 9d to Hid; inferior, 7d to Bd. Crossbred — Super, lOd to ll|d; fine, Bid to lOd; medium, 6d to 8d; coarse, 4d to s£d ; inferior, 3d to 4d. Lambs' wool — best, lOd to 12£ d; . medium, 7£d to 9d; inferior, 2d to 4d.
