CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At a quarter to one o'clock yester-/ day afternoon some "boys found the body of a man m, the Avon near the mouth of Dudley Creek. It had been m the water for about six days. A returned soldier's badge, with the number 42131, and the name John Edward Lloyd, were found on the body.^ No time has been fixed for the inquest as the body had not been identified up till last nigh£.
