A man told the Willessden magistrate that he objected to paying alimony to his wife, under an order'of the court so long as she continued to have a lodger who, he alleged, was tne-cause of their separation. The wife said that the man was fmerely'an ardinary lodger/ and would not go. The Magistrate <Mr.W.B.Luke), to the wife: "Your husband is Caesar, and you are Casar's wife, and must be nbove -suspicion.
