THE COMPETITIONS CONCLUDED.

The weekly meeting of the Ashburton County Rugby Union was held last I evening, Mr W. F. Watters presiding. { There were also present Messrs J. j Henderson, A. Thomson, H. Seldon, F. W. Seldon, and A. T, ( Robertson. , - 'N't Permission was granted teams representing the Banks and Professions to -fuse one of the Union' grounds on August 26. It was decided to conclude the competitions and to award the Senior Banner to Old Boys and the Junior Cup to -. On the motion of Mr Thomson it , was agreed'to donate a set of the , 'Union's representative jerseys to th« Hampstead School Committee. , Messrs F. W. Seldon and A. T. Robertson-were appointed to purchase medals for presentation to the winners of the ladies' six-a-side hockey .tourna- . ment, held in connection with ■ the visit of tho Prince of Wales. Mr H:-"Seldon .asked 6n..beKalf of a .. Tiinaru club if Storey (who is at pre- ~ "' sent touring Australia with the New Zealand represezvtatives) was eligible „tp.play in. the Union's seven-a-side ' tourney to be held on August 19. It was .agreed to raise no objection. Accounts amounting to £19 9s 6d ' were passed for payment.
