METHVEN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Methven A. and P. Association was held in the association's rooms last evening. The president, Mr James Carr, was iji the chair, and the following members were present: —Messrs iviangin, Campbell, tiowe, McDonald, liobmson, Dart, Lilley, and Green. Tlie chairman and Mr Mangin were appointed a sub-committee to advise concerning the disposal of surplus timber hurdles, etc., left over from show day. The secretary submitted a report on the working ol the annual show, and it was generally considered that the fixture had been one of the most successful in the history of the association.

So much difficulty has been found in fixing a date for the show that will not clash" with some other fixture that it was decided to fix the date now, and March 31, 1921, was chosen. It is hoped, therefore, that other associations will respect this choice aiid steer clear of that day. The root-judging competition was fixed for Monday and Tuesday, May 3 and 4, and arrangements were made to convey the judge to the various farms where the entries are growing. The judge will be Mr A. McPnerson, Government Fields Instructor.
