BRANCH RESOLUTIONS.
NEW PLYMOUTH, April 28. At a record meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the Postal and Telegraph Officers' Association this evening, a resolution was passed on similar terms to those in other centres, demanding an early interview with the Minister, and threatening to hold stopwork meetings. The sympathy of the meeting was also expressed with the raiiv.aynien.
PALMERSTON N., April 28. An urgent meeting of employees oi the Manawatu section of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association passeu the following resolution:—"That the Ministry be given twenty-four hours' notice to meet our executive and further in the event of our demands being side-stepped, that stop-work meetings be called throughout the service to decide on further action." It was resolved to request the executive to demand that all soldier members of the service should be placed on the same footing as to half pay. The meeting also heartily resolved to support the railway employees in their Btruggle for justice and to offer its support. Keen feeling was evident throughout the meeting, which closed with cheers for the railwaymen.
