HEENEY v. BARTLETT.
GISBORNE, February 12. In a fifteen-round professional boxing contest between Tom Heeney (Gisborne) and W. Bartlett (Murchison), Bartlett quitted after the eighth round, declaring that Heeney was too strong, and that he (Bartlett) would have no chance of success. The display was not a success. It was not one-sided, but was fairly tame.
