At s conference with the officiai-i of th« Tramway Federation yesterday tho Mayor of Wellington stated that ho did not see that any good would follow .'mother Dominion conference. The Wellington City Council was, quite prepared to at once open up negotiations for :i new ajxreeKK'nii. An increase has been made in the rate paid to tramwaynwn in Wellington of Id per .hour from January 1, in accordance with the recent, announcement, by the .Arbitration Court.
