The appearance of children of school age at public performances was condemned in a letter received by yho •nd Education Board from the Headmasters' Association. _ The association suggested that steps should he taken to prevent children from takintr part in night recitals, and that the Education Department should b<asked to procure legislation against the participation of children ol primary school age in such performanceIn a discussion of tlie question tho members of the board expressed the 'opinion that while the utilising of ihe services of talented children at" miscellaneous public performances was reprehensible, there should be no undue interference with assistance bypupils in entertainment for purely school purposes.
