AUCKLAND, August 30. Mrs C. Clarke, wife of the licensee of the Pukekohe Hotel, who. was injured in a motor-car accident last Saturday, died. at the hospital to-day. after her- le» had been '.amputated. BLENHEIM, August 30. James Chirm, aged 72 years, a wellknown resident of Blenheim, was knocked down by a motor-car in Market Square, Blenheim, and killed instantly. The car was driven by R. S. Andrews, .a taxi-driver.
