LOYAL ORANGE LODGE.

lttie anniversary of the Battle of .Boyne was celebrated by the Loyal Orange Lodge last' night,.^when the W.M. Bro. R. Marsden presided over a large gathering of ■ members and friends. Seats on the "platform were occupied by "Revs. G. Aitken, G. Miller, S. Bailey, W. Marsha.il, and D. McIntyre. and W. Bros. W. J. Brown, G. Tyler, G. W. Leadley, and W. Lock. After a substantial repast had been done full justice to, a concert programme 1 was provided,,' and toasts, usual at such functions;, were' duly honoured. The fcoast-list included The K,ing, The Charter Toast, afi over the World, Grand Lodge of New Zealand, Army and Navy, and the Ladies. The speakers '"were the chairman, Bros. P. Russell, G. W. Leadley, W. J. Brown, D. Russell, R. H. Loy, Revs. S. Bailey, G. Aitken, and W. Marshall. Musical items 1 were ably rendered by Mrs W. Marsden, Misses Shurrock and Watson, Messrs C. Brown, C. Gass, and .Craighead. Miss Brown gave a recitation in such an acceptable manner that she had to respond to an undeniable encore. A vote of thanks to the performers, and the National 1 Anthem, brought the first part of the 'ceremonies to a close, after which the young people' indulged in. a few hours' dancing. - A church parade and service in the Theatre Royal to-morrow "will conclude the celebrations.
