A London cablegram stated that the Prince *of Wales was a little. better.
Advice has been received, that Colonel John Findlay, C.8., D.5.0., is. re^ turning from Egypt by .the Ulimaroa, due early in August. Prior to,the war Colonel Findlay was fai-ming at Lowcliff c, leaving Ashburton ori August 17,, 1914, to go into camp M'ith the Main Body at Addington. He left New Zealand with the Main Body, commanding the Canterbury Mounted Regiment. He was wounded on Gallipoli, but later returned to the Peninsula. Apart from sickness in Egypt, he' served through practically the whole ol: the campaign in Palestine.
The accident to Mr J. Leonard, carrier, at the gas Avorks yard on .Monday, was more serious. than at first reported. In addition to a broken arm^ his collar-bone was fractured. Although he is as well as can be expected, his condition still gives cause for anxiety. ;
