WILLARD'S POOR SNOWING.

At Toledo (Ohio), in the'l first round of the match for the Heavyweight Boxing Championship of the World, between Willard and Dempsey, the former was twice knocked down and took the count up to six. At the end of the third round he quitted. (Received July 5, 2 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 4; Dempsey forced the fighting in. the first round, flooring Willard three times. At the end of the second Willard's eye was damaged in the heavy milling he received. In the third round Dempsey backed Willard to the ropes j cutting his mouth. After heavy interchanges to the jaws tho bell rang, and Willard's second announced • that he would not fight further.
