AUCKLAND, July L. A family named Kucastle, residing in Newton, had a xiairow escape xrom suffocation this morning. The family was in bed, and one of them-was awakened by a smell of .smoke. 'Ahe building was Juled with* smoKe, and atcer assistance was obtained all tho occupants, were got safely out.j. Mrs Kucastle was so , overcome with tho lume> that she was dent to tho Hospital, 'ihe cause of the accident ;was the iusmg or electric wires, this causing dense fumes to be grveii oil ttom tho^ casing on the wires.
