RUSSIAN CAMPAIGN.
DESTRUCTION OF KP.ONSTADT.
HELSINGFORS, June 28
Judging by recent decrees the situation in Petrograd is desperate. The evacuation -of the city is being carried out hastily. Trotsky ordered the fortress of Kronstadt to be blown up before it surrendered. All bridges, railway stations, and castles were destroyed when the Bolshevik forces were withdrawn.
The Finnish Genera] Staff reports that seven Bolshevik warships on the night of the 26th violently bombarded the staff headquarters of the Olonets expedition on Lake Ladoga, destroying hospitals and houses. The ships also lanced troops and fighting is proceeding. ' Later reports state that the Finns are sis miles from Olonets, while the encircling British are fifteen, miles north of the town. Their cavalry are in contact with the Finns.
