(Received July 4, 12.50 p.m*.) LONDON, July 3. In the final for the tennis' singles championship Patterson beat Kingscott by 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. Patterson's spectacular overhead smashing was almost faultless, and his accurate placing at the net anticipated Kingscott's famous cross-court drives.
In the fourth round of' the doubles championship Fisher and Ritchie beat Cramford and Green by 3-6, 6-3, 9-6, 3-6, 6-3, 9-7.
