Longuet and himself, on behalf of the Franco-British Socialists, accepted a proposal for a twentyfour hours' strike in sympathy with the Soviets and as a protest against the Versailles iPeace Terms. Mr Macdonald adds that ho condemned the Italians' tendency to 'Bolshevism and recommended them to join the world Socialist movement represented by the Second International Congress.
