DUNEDIN, June 11. Cattle';—l73 were penned. The sale opened; with prices equal to last week's rates, but values gradually receded, and towards the end business was difficult at a considerable reduction. Best prime cattle to £22 10s, prime £18 10s io £20, medium £16 to £18, best prime heavy cows and heifers £16, prime £14, medium £11 10s to £13 10s, others £9 10s./
Sheep.—An exceptionally ;big yarding, 3116. The congestion at the local freezing works having been relieved exporters 'were in the market and kept values steady. Prices for best heavy wethers were about the same -as * last week's. All other classes advanced about Is. Extra prime heavy wethers 71s, prime heavy 50s to 57s 6d, prime 43s toy 48s, medium 37s 6d to 42s 6d, light and unfinished 27s upwards, extra prime heavy ewes 465, prime heavy 37s 6d to 40s, prime 32s 6d> to 355," medium 26s to 30s, others 21s upwards. 1 Lambs.—2llo were penned. Exporters were bidding keenly for all lambs fit for freezing and a good sale at improved values resulted. Extra prime heavy 49s, 1 prime 345, prime 27s to 30s, medium 255, others 17s 6d upwards.
