CHRISTCKURCH, June 11. An accident this morning at the Elmore Biack and Tile (,'o's works at Hillsborough, near Christcluirch, resulted in the deatli of an employee, John Homiiwell.

Deceased was ' feeding n clay-mixer when he slipped, aiid his foot ;was caught in the machinery, resulting in the leg being badly mangled. He died shortly after being released from the machine.
