TINWALD YARDS—THIS DAY
There was a large attendance of farmers, and a larger entry of sheep tb.au usual: at the Tinwakl stock sale ■ co-day. For the fat sheep there was fairly keen competition amongst- freezing buyers and butchers, with the consequence that the greater portion ol the yarding was disposed of at prices in keeping with those lately ruling. Heavy-weight ewes in prime condition realised up to 35s 6d, the prices for average size, in prime order, varying from 27s 6d to 31s 3d, whilst lighter'" and unfmislied ranged as low as 24«. The best heavy-weight wethers brought up to 38s, ordinary prime averaging from 28s to 36s 6d, down to 18s for inferior quality. The top price realised foe prune lambs vvae 30s 7d, the average being from 26s to 27b. There was a good entry ot cattle. Extra prime heavy-weight steers brought up to £18, fat heifers up to £14, and fat cows up to £13.
