FIREMAN KILLED.
GISBORNE, January 31
Eric Adams, 20, a fireman employed at the-Motuhora stone quarry, who was seriously injured yesterday in' an engine accident, died to-day. It is stated that the engine became derailed, and Adams was entangled in the canvas awning over the cab. He was pinned down under the engine and scalded by the escaping steam.
