All Irish Unionists arc excluded from the above list of Coalition Unionists, because the scheme of labelling Coalition candidates was not applicdHo Ireland. Of course the Irish Unionists, numbering approximately 27, are expected to support the Government on most matters. A dose youdy of the figures emphasises the Coalition's pronounced success in every group of constituencies in Britain. Or 53 out of 61 seats which the Government won in London boroughs, the Unionists got .'42 and the Liberals 11. Other London representatives' are Iwo non-pledged Unionists, Sir John Norton Griffiths (Central Wanci worth) and Mr J. ITopkins (South-east Si. Pancras), and throe Liberals, two Labourites, neither ,of whom \\ us opposed by Coalitionists, and one Independent, Mr Bottomley. Of 193 members elected for other English boroughs, 149 are supporters of the Government, comprising 106 Unionists, 36 Liberals, and 7 Labourites. The remainder are 16 Unionists, 3 Liberals, 20 Labourites, 4 Independents, and 1 Irish Nationalist. tln English counties there are 191 Coalition members out of a total of 230 seats, the Unionists again forming a large majority with 149, compared -with 40 Liberals and 2 Labourites. Unpledged Liberals number 12, unpledged Unionists 2, Labourites 22, Independents 3. j ■In -Wales 20 Coalitionists were re- ' turned out of 35 seats, •others being 10 Labourites, 3 unpledged Unionists, and 2 unpledged Liberals. Scottish boroughs returned 23 Government supporters, namely, 15 Unionists and 8 Liberals the remaining mcmlwrs being 5 unpledged Liberal's and 5 Labourites. In Scottish counties 13 Unionists and 17 Liberals were elected under the Coalition banner, the others being 2 unpledged Unionists. 3 unpledged Liberals; and 3 Labourites. "In [rish boroughs 8 Unionists, 2 Nationalists, and 11 Sinn Feiners Mere returned, while the counties arc represented by 15 Unionists, 4 Nationalists, and 61 Sinn Foiners. 1 ' The proceedings in connection with the declaration of the poll woro orderly throughout Ireland. While the Sinn Feiners almost routed the Nationalists in Ireland, they have not made much impression in Ulster.
