WELCOMED AS CONQUERORS
COPENHAGEN, Dec. 12. As the^ returning troops entered Berlin the bands played patriotic songs, but not a single revolutionary uneT: A stupendous crowd welcomed the troops as conquerors and decollated them with flowers. Ebert, in a speech, said that they returned with luiads erect and unconquored. The building up of a new and stronger Germany depended on them. A sergeant, replying, repudiated Liebknecht's doctrines; adding: "The watchword of the troops will be tranquil ity."
