VALUABLE INVENTION

The "New York Times' b" Washington correspondent states that Postmaster Burleson announced the invention of telephony and telegraph, by which five simultaneous telephone conversations, or 40 telegraphic messages, can- be sent over a single
wire. The practical application of the invention has been successfully tested.
