HOUSING SCHEME.
AUCKLAND, December 13,
Tho City Council has received a report from its engineer in connection with the municipal housing scheme for' which, it is ■ proposed to ask the ratepayers to authorise a loan of £250,000? ~ The engineer estimates that the cost of erecting 79 houses on the old abattoir site at Richmond, and 145 houses in tho city area, including land and roadina:, will pc £165,850. Consideration was deferred till a future date:
