Our attack on the westea'n bank of the Ancre extended the bridgehead positions. Railway establishrnente near Amiens were shelled. French attacks between Moreuil and Montdidier broke down heavily. Montj didier was subjected to French fire, and there waa increastxl arfcillory fire before Verdun.
