. WELLINGTON, August 28! The quantity of wheat grown in the South Island this coming season will! be much greater than was expected. This announcement was made in the House of Representatives this afternoon by Sir James Allen, who added that the statistics compiled by the Efficiency Board showed that there would be sufficient wheat grown in the South Island to fulfill all the country's needs during the coming year.
