HAY WARD'S PICTURES
Sir Rider Haggard has earned au inter national reputation in more than one way. He has earned groat distinction as a writer on practical i'arm politics, and as an organiser and Imperial Commissioner. This is in sharp contrast to his earlier famo as a producer of weird and wonderful romances. "Sh-e" is one of the most widely known, and its picturisation represents a feat in the motion picture world. The photography is superb, aoid full justice is done in the fullost sense to the gorgeous and impressive scones in the extraordinary kingdom conjured up in the author's vivid imagination. Madame Alice Dolysia is stately and beautiful and acts impressively, .and the supporting casto is powerful. Much of the camera work must have been done in Africa, particularly the wild scenes in the African swamp country.
