Might I suggest that in tho'interosts of 'wheatgrowers and consumers, you consult them at a conference before adopting the Board's recommendations. on. this very important question?" Tho. reply received by Mr Nosworthy was as follows:— "Tho Board of Trade and Board of -Agriculture will meet on January 10 to discuss tho whole question, including prices, and they will report to me. The matter will come before Cabinet in due course, and if Cabinet agrees with the proposal of the Board of Trade, no doubt Mr Massey will bo communicated with, and if it is finally decided to make an offer to wheat-growors a. conference will be called for that purpose."
