DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL.
THEATRES AND DAIRYMEN
COMPLAIN
SYDNEY, January 7. The Daylight Saving Act is working satisfactorily so far as general business is .concerned, but theatres and picture shows, which are also saddled, with the burden of the Amusement Tax, complain of reduced .attendances, in some cases of 40 per cent. The people show a tendency, in the present hot weather, at any fate, to" . spend their extra leisure surfing-to staying in town. Jhe dairying industry is. not enamoured oi the new hours, which mean a shortening of their already short light to catch *he earlier trains. The cows, whose habits are not regular by the clock, show an objection -to havma their rest 'broken, and are yielding less milk.
